The Clip Easel watch was produced in 1940. It was designed in the same year by George Blow, who also designed the Handbag Watch. This watch has a leather covered metal clip fob that can securely hang on a pocket or be used as a desktop stand. It has a radial chapter ring with Deco styled numerals and bright gold minute marker ring on a printed metal dial.
The nickel finish case is mostly bright and shiny, with some fine scratching mostly on the front and small dimpling on the back. The dial is good with some tiny fleabite imperfections. The bluing on the steel hands has been marred by oxidation. The plastic lens has fine scratching and slight yellowing but is mosty clear.
This slender profile case looks like a pocketwatch but has a wristwatch movement inside. It is in good clean functioning condition, keeping time, and the stem winds and sets easily. The front bezel must be removed to adjust timekeeping and is better left to a jeweler if needed.
This watch is 2" in diameter.
